Why Microbiome Was Founded

Microbiome was founded with a clear purpose: to provide independent, evidence-based mould and moisture assessments that help protect the health of occupants and the integrity of buildings.

Although Microbiome is a newly established environmental consultancy, it is built on more than 10 years of professional experience in environmental laboratory analysis, asbestos and mould identification, indoor air quality assessment, and field investigations.

Our founder has worked across multiple NATA accredited laboratories and on-site environments, supporting residential, commercial, industrial, and government clients with accurate testing, technical advice, and practical solutions.

We recognised the need for an independent consultancy that focuses on identifying the root cause of mould and moisture issues rather than simply treating the visible symptoms. By combining scientific knowledge with practical field experience, Microbiome delivers reliable assessments and clear recommendations that help clients make informed decisions.

Microbiome was founded by an environmental professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience across NATA accredited laboratories and on-site field environments.

Having worked across residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors, our founder identified a consistent gap in the market: property owners and occupants needed truly independent assessments — advice free from any commercial interest in the remediation outcome.

That insight led to the creation of Microbiome: an environmental consultancy with the technical depth of a laboratory professional and the practical understanding of a field investigator — but with independence at its core.
